Micro-cooling integration in non-invasive localization system for breast cancer diagnostics.
During a collaboration with De Koningh Medical Systems (DKMS), the University of Twente and MST (Medisch Spectrum Twente), Demcon kryoz developed an integrated cooling system to cryocool a magnetic sensor which is used in a medical diagnostic system.
This system was developed as an alternative to a system in which breast cancer is located using radioactive contrast material. The developed system uses magnetic contrast material instead which is patient and doctor friendly.
